Burgers don’t always have to come in buns 🍔 …and everything is just more fun in a bowl! Homemade bean burger bowls are one of my favorite plant-based meals to make ever. They are great for a healthy and satisfying lunch, dinner, and even for meal prep. Plus, they take less than a half hour in the oven!
Have you tried making your own plant-based burgers at home? If you’re new to plant-based eating or just looking for something different compared to the frozen store-bought options, this recipe is my go-to. Seriously…my non-vegan family members who swear by beef patties even LOVE these! The best part about them is that you can use a can of any beans you like or have on hand already. My personal favorites are kidney beans (used here!) and black beans, so it really depends on your preference!
I served my burger with spinach, chopped avocado, fresh tomato salad, grilled zucchini, and (always) a tahini drizzle. Get as creative as you want with your sides! I hope you try these out, and let me know what you think 🙂
